On Monday, October 14, 2016 the Brilliant Book House website experienced a security breach that may have affected certain customer’s credit card information if an order was placed that day between 3PM and 2AM (PST).
Brilliant Book House places customer security as its highest priority and there are measures in place to ensure the safety of your personal information. However, we urge you to be vigilant with your personal security; if you made a purchase at Brilliant Book House on October 14, please review your credit card statement for any suspicious or fraudulent activity on your account. If any fraudulent activity is found, you will not be held responsible for the charges. Please contact your bank or credit card company as soon as possible to report the activity. Additionally, we ask that anyone who has an account at Brilliant Book House update their account password as soon as possible.
We deeply regret this inconvenience and are taking steps to ensure that no breach like this ever happens again. We have now hired a security team who will provide weekly malware reports so we can be even more prepared if another security breach were to occur in the future, further ensuring your safety as a customer.
